We are devastated to hear of the passing of our friend Conrad "Cronos" Lant of Venom.Cronos was one of the true pioneers of extreme metal. Through Venom's music, attitude and uncompromising vision, he helped change the face of heavy music and inspire generations of bands and musicians around the world.
For Onslaught, as for so many others, Venom were a huge influence. Their impact on the underground metal scene cannot be overstated, and their legacy will live on through the music they created.
Our deepest condolences go to Conrad's family, his friends, and his Venom brothers Danny and Rage at this incredibly sad time.
As Sy says: "Cronos will never be forgotten. I was a Venom Legions member back in the day — and I never cancelled my membership, so I guess I still am."
